Sparkle and glitter around this time of the year is something I love overdoing and one can easily get away with it. Maybelline’s Glitter Mania is my choice for those perfect glittery fingernails. Each shade in this collection has its own beauty and subtleness you just can’t go wrong with. They are easy to apply and even one coat gives an amazing sleek finish to your nails. So, go ahead and indulge in Maybelline’s glitter mania range to add that much needed sparkle this season.

Absolute random ramblings about what I currently love doing this festive season. Its winter, almost Christmas and there’s nothing like sipping hot tea out of a red festive mug. The mug in question is the Starbucks festive red cup which I totally love oh, well I am a Starbucks mug hoarder anyways & I have way too many of their mugs.

The tea is from Lipton it’s called Mint & Spice Morocco which apparently has real herbs & spices. I simply love this tea. Been sipping on it right before bedtime and it is so soothing and calming gets me in to the Zen like zone; Inner peace people Inner peace. It has this subtle hint of mint and cinnamon flavour which is so heavenly you have to try it to believe it. Cinnamon always reminds me of Christmas time. Though on a side note when you do brew the tea it does smelly funny like bubble gum; might put off some people but the taste completely makes you forget about the bubble gum smell.
This is my version of a getting into the festive mode; what’s yours?

It’s almost Christmas and, keeping up with the festive spirit here’s an easy chocolate coated biscuit recipe which is totally hassle free, quick and easy to make too. This is not my creation but rather my 15 year old cousin who is to be credited for this recipe. So, without further ado let us get straight to the recipe.

Compound Chocolate 200gm (you can opt for dark, milk or white chocolate, I prefer dark chocolate) – you can increase the quantity as per requirement.
Plain biscuits – 2 packs (depending upon the batch size of the chocolate)
Sprinkles of your choice for toppings

Grate the chocolate and place it in a microwave vessel. Microwave it for around 30 – 40 seconds; stir occasionally till the chocolate reaches a silky smooth consistency.

Take a biscuit and spread the chocolate on it (just like you are applying jam over bread). Then take another biscuit and place it over the other so it looks like a biscuit sandwich.

Place the biscuit sandwiches on a rack and deep freeze them for about one minute.

After one minute remove them from the freezer and then dunk the sandwich biscuits in the chocolate batter cover all the sides with chocolate and add sprinkles of your choice. Let it freeze for over a minute in the freezer. Once the chocolate has nicely set and become firm; place it on a serving plate and voila it’s ready to be devoured.

No, I am not talking about the comfort food edible version of Glazed cinnamon apples; but The Body Shop Glazed apple shower gel which is a new introduction for the holiday season. They have three different ranges of festive sweetness; Glazed Apple, Vanilla Brulee and Frosted Cranberry. There are so many options to choose from you can treat yourself to the whole shebang.

Shower time has just become much more festive with Glazed apple. This bottle of green(y) goodness is a perfect way to start the day. It smells absolutely divine; love the apple and a hint of cinnamon scent that lingers on the body as well as in the shower. The fragrance doesn’t last that long on the body but can be built up by using a body lotion or body butter of the same. It is neither creamy nor too liquid in consistency. It leaves my body feeling soft and smelling amazing. It is my favourite shower gel at the moment gets me in the Christmassy mood. If you like sweet, fruity scents then you must try some from their festive range.

Priced at INR 595/- for a 250ml bottle, it is a once in a year indulgence. This limited edition range screams Christmas through and through and the glazed apple shower gel adds a festive bubble to your shower time.

Which is your favourite product from The Body Shop Christmas Range?

How very deceiving this simple, clinical looking tube is? Never thought I would be so blown away by this tiny 30ml tube of sheer goodness. Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector is a lightweight skin smoother to instantly refine skin texture and minimize the appearance of pores. I have oily skin and have quite visible pores to be honest; not a very interesting sight when the makeup has a mind of its own and decides to wander when there’s no primer underneath.

Formulated with lipo hydroxy acid, bark and lentil extracts; all you need is a tiny amount of this beige coloured tinted lotion which glides over the skin ever so easily. It dries up instantly giving your skin that perfect smooth texture for makeup to glide on.

For the ones having uneven skin, visible pores; this is a great option to use instead of a primer; it is lightweight and non-greasy. I am not quite sure about it improving the skin’s quality over time but, my makeup looks flawless whenever I use this so, I am totally digging this product. Priced at INR 2,500/- for a 30ml tube it is indeed worth the splurge.

It is finally December the best time of the year. Family gatherings, parties, comfy jumpers, PJs, fairy light, devouring on scrumptious food and presents loads of presents; it is Christmas time. Keeping up with the festive spirit we are starting a mini-series called “Feeling Festive”. This would be all about Christmassy stuff, random bits and bobs and much more. Hope you like our first post of the Feeling Festive series.

I am a nail polish hoarder and it wouldn’t surprise you that I have the same shade in different brands (silly I know) but, Downtown Red by Maybelline Color Show is one of my favourite shades especially for this season. It is the perfect dark wine maroon(y) shade which instantly makes me feel like its winter. Application wise it is good and with two coats you have that perfect dark wine shade. Staying power is decent although it does start chipping off 3rd day onwards. Top it up with Crystal Clear top coat from Maybelline Color Show and let your fingers twinkle and soak in the festivities.

Firstly, apologies for being so absent on the blogging front for such a long time. We were totally consumed by the demanding schedule of our day jobs; but hey it’s no excuse for not posting on the blog and we will try and be more consistent with our posts from now on (fingers crossed).

Getting back to the post I purchased this product in the shade 02 quite a while ago I think the very next day after its launch and well, to be honest I didn’t instantly fall in love with this BB cream because every time I applied this product on its own without a primer I always felt something was missing. For me this product goes well with a primer first and then the Tea Tree Flawless BB cream over it and this gives my face that smooth, matte clear look. That’s one of the reasons why it took me so long to review this product because I was trying to make this product work for me and after many failed attempts this is the best method of application for me.

The Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream claims to give your skin a flawless coverage whilst tackling the appearance of blemishes and instantly covering blemishes & imperfections.

The biggest positive of this product has been that I haven’t had any breakouts so thumbs up to that. It didn’t help cover my blemishes and imperfections and when I tried building it up, it ended up looking cakey. But when I use it with a primer it is much easier to apply and work with. Somehow I feel it’s a bit too matte for my liking and has a medium staying power.

One’s who prefer a very matte finish would like this product. Priced at INR 1,095/- for a 40ml plastic tube, it is surprisingly sturdy and the packaging is dinky and travel friendly. This product comes in three shades 01, 02 & 03. Overall a good product but I am not sure if I would repurchase it.

Have you tried The Body Shop Flawless BB Cream? What has been your experience?

Next time you visit Starbucks and grab a Frappuccino make sure you carry the cup back home. I read this amazing tip in one of the magazines and had to share it with you all. This little plastic cup is actually a great way to store make up brushes; it allows you to know which brush you are grabbing and also the lid will stop dust from settling in the brushes.

The hole in the lid means the brushes won’t sweat in there. A neat and clean way to store brushes; they stay clean and dust free and the cup adds a bit of quirky statement to your vanity table/dresser.
My tip would be to opt for a Venti size cup; it’s easier to store all your tall brushes in them.
Hope you found this little tip useful. We would love to know how you store your make-up/make-up brushes.

I have been obsessed with this shade and my most worn this August. Blackcurrant Pop is the perfect purple(y) lilac shade, classy and very wearable. Maybelline Color show nail varnishes have never disappointed me and Blackcurrant pop amazed me the most; lasted over 6 days before it started chipping pretty cool right.

Application and formula wise it’s perfect. Two coats are all you need for the perfect opaque look; finish it off with your favourite top coat and you are good to go. This dainty 6ml bottle of pastel goodness priced at INR 75/- is worth giving a try.

For me this product has been a miracle because I have super oily skin and last year I had the worst skin ever, acne, breakouts every day, acne scars; my skin was losing its shine overall I was a wreck and my self-confidence was at an all-time low. I did undergo treatment with a Dermatologist but believe me when I say this that none of the meds or treatments was working on me it was as if my body had got immune to all of it.  To cut a long story short after reading a lot of positive reviews and weighing all the pros and cons about this product I caved in and purchased Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate in March 2014;  I had nothing to lose what else could go wrong with my already damaged skin.

Well, it’s been 5 months I’ve been using this product every day and my skin couldn’t be happier. It has transformed my skin literally. It has evened out my skin tone; the regular breakouts have stopped yes stopped!! There are the occasional teeny-tiny ones which are all right as I have seen worse and they don’t last long which used to be the case earlier. It restores skin’s healthy appearance overnight gives this natural even tone and glow to your skin in the morning which is oh so satisfying. Also for me the acne scars are getting fainter by the day.

This is an oil based serum; don’t be afraid to slather oil on your face even if you have oily skin; 2-3 drops is all you need and your skin will thank you in the long run. Follow your regular 3 step routine - Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise; you can apply this serum before applying moisturiser or skip moisturiser altogether or apply moisturizer over the serum. Gently pat the serum all over your face and neck and your skin will soak in all the natural oils goodness overnight and leave you with radiant, even toned soft looking skin in the morning.

This comes in a 30ml glass bottle which is not exactly a very travel friendly option. Priced at INR 2,990/- may seem a bit steep but it’s an investment that you will not regret; plus this product will last you ages. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to have great skin. Just to bring it out there; this is not a core acne product; but for me it has worked in reducing my breakouts and acne along with giving me a radiant skin. It may work for some or may not.

I would love to know your views and suggestions on this review and the product. If you do use Kiehl’s products are you happy using them? What are your experiences?

Come summer and I have a new favourite body lotion and it is none other than Somerset Meadow Scented Body Lotion from Crabtree and Evelyn. I know my blog has many Crabtree and Evelyn product posts; what can I say I love their products.

Somerset Meadow captures the uplifting green scent of wildflowers delicately balanced with water lily and ivy. This lotion is formulated with shea butter, coconut oil and sweet almond oil to soften and rehydrates the skin.

This body lotion is perfect for spring/summer time; and the fragrance is so heavenly that it literally transports you to the meadows. This lotion has a creamy consistency; gets absorbed very quickly in your skin, leaves your skin feeling soft and supple all day long and hydrates it too. It does not leave a greasy or sticky feeling on your skin at all. This product comes in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser which is very easy to use and handle.

The only drawback I felt with this is, as the product is about to finish with around two week’s usage left it is very difficult to pump out the product. I have to wrestle with the bottle to get the product out. Also packaging-wise I feel the bottle is too plain the outer box is exquisite but too plain a bottle for the price you pay.

Keeping the drawbacks aside, it is a great product perfect for summer. Priced at INR 1,850/- for a 200ml bottle may seem a bit steep but it’s worth a try in my opinion.

Have you tried Crabtree and Evelyn products? Do you have any favourites?

This week I have coated my nails with Rimmel’s Hot & Spicy; an orange(y) tomato red shade which for me is the perfect shade for summer. This is my first polish from Rimmel and to be honest I am pleasantly surprised with the colour, formula and staying power.

Application is smooth and easy; two coats give the perfect opaque look and the consistency is also good. Does not disappoint on the staying power either; lasts a good 4 days before needing a fresh coat.

It is a Sunday night ritual for me unwinding by painting my nails with my favourite colour gearing up for the week ahead; and last two Sundays I have been applying this shade shamelessly.
Have you tried Rimmel lasting finish polish? Which is your favourite Rimmel shade?

With my recent purchase at Kiehl’s I was given the Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream in the shade light as a sample so; couldn’t wait to try it out and write a mini review on it on whether it is worth it or not; so read on to know more.

Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream is a new product launched by Kiehl’s. It is a BB cream which delivers SPF 50 PA+++ UV protection so you need not apply a separate sunscreen. This can be used alone or under foundation.

This BB Cream gives a radiant daily coverage to my skin, instantly beautifies it and minimises the appearance of pores. It left my skin with a clean even tone which lasted the whole day with just a few touch-ups. I have hyperpigmentation on my face so it did cover up quite a bit and didn’t break me out at all. It claims to reduce discolouration in skin though; it’s too early to comment about it as you need to use it regularly to get the results I suppose. This product is Silicone-free, Paraben-free, Fragrance-free, Mineral-Oil free and comes in the shades Fair, Light & Natural.

I am loving this product and have been using it daily and will use it daily till the sample runs out. Very few BB creams have caught my fancy and this definitely is a winner for me. I wouldn’t mind purchasing the full size product which is a 30ml tube for INR 3,200/- which may seem a bit pricy but well that’s Kiehl’s and they have some of the best products in my opinion.

Let me know what is your favourite BB cream and if you have tried the Kiehl’s BB cream do let me know your thoughts on them.

This product has been out in the market for a very long time; I know I am reviewing late; you will know why…

I love Rimmel products they are good and not very expensive too. I’ve used their lipsticks, foundations, mascaras well practically most of their makeup range and love it. When the Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint was introduced I had to get my hands on them and so I did and well to be honest I am a bit disappointed with this product. I share a love-hate relationship with this product. I purchased two in the shades 320 – Don’t Let Me Go & 130 – Don’t Stop Blushing.

The packaging of the product is like that of a felt tip pen (the ones we used in school for colouring). I was intimidated by the tip of this lip tint as well as the smell; it very much smelt like a felt tip pen. Also it has a balm at the end with a transparent lid on it.

It is a two-step application where you apply the lip colour first on your lips and then over it apply the lip balm. Basically the balm is for moisturising your lips; keep them supple and soft well my lips felt drier and drier with every passing hour. No doubt the staying power of this lip tint is very good but I didn’t like the way it left my lips dry.

My thoughts on the Rimmel Lip tint  -
It is not a lip stain that can be applied directly on the lips without using gloss/balm on top.
Settles in your lips if, you tend to have dry, chapped and cracked lips.
Very difficult to remove and leaves a stain on your lips even after multiple tries.
The moisturising balm is not very moisturising.
Staying power is very good; lasts a long time on your lips, you may need to just touch up the balm. It does at time leave your lips a bit patchy.
I have tried using this with my lip balm first and then applying the tint over it, the intensity of staining your lips is lesser.

Priced at INR 555/- it is an innovative product no doubt but, it just didn’t ring any bells for me at least. I would not be purchasing this again for sure.

Have you tried the Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint? If you have similar views about it do let us know.

India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Body Lotion is my Holy Grail Body lotion. I am shamelessly confessing that this is my third bottle and one of the best body lotions I have used till date.

A bit about India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Body Lotion

The delicate spider lily is the star fragrance of Island Living bath and body products. Its tropical accords are blended with the scents of the sea, salt and sand, fruit trees and flowers. This fragrance is inspired by the island breezes that sweep over India’s veranda at sunset, bringing with them the scent of casuarina leaves, palm fronds, orange blossoms and salty air.

I personally can’t stop raving about this product. It comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a pump dispenser which is easy to use; it’s not very travel friendly but that’s ok with me. Consistency of the product is lotion based; it is easier to apply and gets absorbed in the skin very fast so there’s no sticky feeling left. I have oily skin and for me lotion based is a better option than cream based as the cream takes ages to absorb in the skin and the oily feeling lasts for a long time.

I love how it gets absorbed fast in the skin leaving it soft, supple and fresh. The fragrance is lovely and mild; not at all overpowering. Fragrance lasts for around an hour or more and gradually starts fading but, the moisturising effect lasts the whole day. My husband also caved in finally and is now a religious user of this lotion.

Apply after a bath or shower to lock in moisture. This soothing lotion is infused with honey and toning hibiscus extracts to help condition your skin. It contains grape seed, mango and olive oils and formulated without parabens, phthalates or propylene glycol.

Priced at INR 1,750/- for 250ml it is a bit pricy for a body lotion but is worth it.

Spring is just around the corner and this beautiful pastel emerald green (if that makes sense) fits the bill perfectly.

Colorbar nail polishes have never disappointed me in terms of quality and the price and this shade “Apple Martini” was no exception. The formulation of Colorbar nail polishes is amazing and two coats will give a beautiful opaque finish with a glossy shine. This nail polish lasted a good four days without chipping and finishing off with a top coat will make it last even longer. It also dries fairly quickly which is just another plus point for us.

Apple Martini is a beautiful and fun Spring/Summer shade which adds a hint of quirkiness to your style. I absolutely love it and will be sporting it for quite some time in these coming months.

Stay tuned for more Spring/Summer Nail colour favourites next Monday.

So, what’s your favourite Spring/Summer shade?

Over the weekend I went a little cray cray with my retail therapy and here’s the outcome…

Picked up couple of things and would be reviewing them soon stay tuned!!

India Hicks Island Living Spider lily body lotion Review is up.

The very recent launch by L’Oreal in the hair segment has been the L’OREAL Tecni Art Fresh Dust Dry Shampoo. This product has been a blessing in disguise indeed for days when you are in a rush and want to skip washing your hair with water.

The L’Oreal Fresh Dust Dry shampoo comes in a 150ml can with a spray nozzle which makes it easy to handle and evenly distributes the product on your roots. Packaging wise it’s a pretty bog standard hairspray packaging nothing too fancy. It is very simple to use too; shake the can before using; spray the product keeping it around 20cm away from your roots; gently work the product in your hair with your fingers and then gently brush it out.

I used the L’Oreal dry shampoo in between washes and it was indeed a pleasant surprise I wash my hair every alternate day as it tends to get oily and greasy very fast. The product does not leave any whitish cast or residue when you spray it on your roots; absorbs the oil in your hair and leaves a very pleasant fragrance which is not at all overpowering. Another plus point is that it gives your hair good volume. I have fine hair and my hair looked voluminous instantly. If you’ve done a blow dry L’Oreal Fresh Dust Dry Shampoo will keep this in place the next day.

I like this product because the one day gap that I would take not washing my hair, they would go all greasy, oily and unpresentable; but after using this dry shampoo that one day gap is no longer a stressful exercise as I have amazing looking, non-greasy, voluminous hair which smells good too.

What I observed though is that for me I cannot use this product two days back-to-back as on the second day I have to wash my hair with water I cannot tolerate the oiliness; maybe because I stay in a city with a lot of humidity and hair tends to get dirty and oily fast. Never the less it’s a good product; it does absorb the oil and leaves your hair feeling fresh. It’s also a great product when you are travelling, on the go, in a rush to dash off to your work place.

Priced at INR 950/- for 150ml can.

Have you tried the L’Oreal Tecni Art Fresh Dust Dry shampoo yet? We would love to hear what you think about it.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you want to look your very best on this day obviously; but, our take on the outfits is a bit different from the conventional Red and Pinks. We thought why not dress up in something different, something that you are comfortable in, rather than the very obvious shades that well you know many others would also be sporting.

The first outfit is simple yet a very feminine look for a lunch date.

The second outfit is classy and elegant. Adding a trendy jacket completes your look and it can keep you warm as well in this chilly weather.

Maybelline Lip Polish Liquid Colour Balm also known as Maybelline Color Elixir Liquid Color Balm for those in the USA is the first ever liquid colour balm from Maybelline New York. It is safe to say that this product is a triple threat; you get benefits of a balm, lipstick and gloss all in this one stellar product. No need to layer three separate products on your lips coz’ Maybelline Lip Polish Liquid Color Balm gives you the perfect smooth, glossy, shiny pout in just one product.

I couldn’t wait to try this product so went ahead and got myself the Maybelline Lip Polish Liquid Colour Balm in the shade glam12. Oh!! We have numbers here to distinguish the shades unlike the catchy names the US version has. Glam12 is a lovely shade indeed it’s a pretty red and maroon(y) combination it’s not too overpowering red or maroon, just the perfect blend of both shades.  It is a shade perfect to wear on your Valentines’ Day Date night/day out.

Well, I totally love this product firstly because you don’t get that sticky feeling on your lips that certain glosses tend to leave on your lips and secondly, it’s a three in one product. I have been using it daily and quite frankly liking it a lot. I don’t feel as if I have a ton of product on my lips. Maybelline Lip Polish Liquid Colour Balm has a smooth consistency and the product glides on your lips like a dream. They have a leaf shaped applicator which makes it even easier to handle the wand and the product applies perfectly and evenly. You can build up the product as per your liking. At least I didn’t find any kind of fragrance in this product so not at all repulsive smell wise.

When I am applying this product I tend to skip lip balm as this product has it inbuilt and it’s very moisturising too, fills in the fine lines and does not settle into creases. My lips get an amazing definition giving them the perfect smooth finish of a lipstick, glassy gloss shine of a gloss and the liquid balm keeps them moisturised.
The packaging of the product is very nice and catchy; the bottom part of the lip polish is in the shape of a lipstick. It is very handy and easy to carry too.

The only flipside of Maybelline Lip Polish is that it transfers like nobody’s business. The staying power is decent, touch-ups required due to its transferring ability; the SA claimed 6hrs; well it fades gradually leaving a slight stain like effect on your lips. I sometimes apply a lip liner first and then apply this product so it does on bleed.

To sum it up a great product and I am pretty happy with it. It’s good for someone who doesn’t like layering too many products on their lips. I will indeed purchase some nude and peachy shades perfect for every day wear. Priced at INR 450 for 5ml, is pretty good bargain and they are available in 15 spellbinding shades to match your every mood.

Have you tried the Maybelline Lip Polish Liquid Colour Balm or Maybelline Color Elixir Liquid Color Balm? What are your thoughts on it?

I don’t really experiment with skin care products that often because I tend to break out if it doesn’t suit me. I have never used a night cream before and I really wanted to try it but I wanted something that is light on my skin. My latest discovery is the Forest Essentials Jasmine & Patchouli Night Treatment cream.

I have been using the night cream for a good 3 months now and I must say it has made a lot of difference to my skin texture. The consistency of the cream is thick yet very light. You just need a small amount of the cream and apply it evenly in upward strokes on your face and neck. Despite the cream being thick it’s not greasy and it absorbs easily. This Jasmine & Patchouli night cream is specifically for oily to combination skin.

After using this product for a good 15-20 days that I started to notice the difference. The dullness on my skin had reduced quite a bit and I would have soft and glowing skin every morning. It is highly moisturising and hydrating which leaves your skin smooth and soft and with time the overall texture improves. Forest essentials is 100% natural and this night cream is free from any Parabens, Petroleum, GMO, Sulphates, Formaldehyde, PEGS, artificial colour, synthetic fragrance and animal testing.

Coming to the fragrance, This is probably the best part because it smells absolutely amazing. Completely out of this world. It smells purely of jasmine and it actually hypnotises you for a while. I love it and it stays put for a really long time.

The packaging is really luxurious. It comes in a beautiful cardboard box and the tub is huge with a nice gold lid.
Priced at 1,595/- for 50g which is expensive but totally worth it. Considering you require a small amount every night, this tub will last you for a good 4 to 6 months easily.
This night cream has been a great investment in my skin care routine. Forest essentials have come out with amazing products this past year and I can’t wait to try more.

The last among the lot is the L’oreal glam shine balmy gloss in Lychee Lust.  L’oreal is the newest entrant in the lip crayon bandwagon.

This is a proper glitter gloss / balm with medium pigmentation. This shade specifically is almost clear with a hint of baby pink and a lot of shimmer. It is quite moisturising and buildable however it starts to get a bit sticky with more application.

I feel that the best way to use this lip crayon is to apply it over lipstick as a gloss / balm. This is probably my least favourite among all the lip crayons. That’s mainly because I’m not really a glitter gloss person. Plus the shade I picked was definitely not that great. The darker shades are more pigmented. It bleeds quite a bit and leaves glitter on your lips after you remove it with your make up remover. It does have a twist-up though which is quite good at the price you pay.

Priced at Rs. 400/- which the cheapest so far. Overall a good product for the price but this specific shade and stickiness were a let-down for me.

Maxfactor’s Colour Elixir Giant Pen stick is a relatively new entrant in the crayon lipstick / balm category. The colour Designer Blossom is a reddish - coral – fuchsia colour. I know sounds strange but let me explain.

This giant pen stick works as a balm and doubles up as a lipstick too. The texture is smooth and soft and is easily build-able. On the very first look in the packaging it looks like a reddish-coral colour but once you build it up on your lips the colour changes to a mauve-ish fuchsia, I guess it shows up differently on different lips but I quite like this shade and the way it shows up on my lips.
Nevertheless it is an amazing product. The pigmentation is soft, creamy and gives your lips the added moisturising. Colour payoff and staying power is amazing; it stayed on my lips for over 12 hours straight with no touch ups and even lasted through meals.

All in all a great product priced at Rs. 675/- is much cheaper than its counterparts. Though, this too does not have the twist-up mechanism nor can it be sharpened, the colour shows up very well on application so the quantity should last a bit longer.

Our third favourite lip crayon among the top 5 is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. These have been a rage in the blogging world (for all the good reasons of course) and yes, it had to be included in this list.

Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in the colour Smitten is a mauve-ish coloured balm which is build-able as a lipstick too. One swipe is good to go as a balm and a couple of more and you have yourself a lipstick Ta-da… Dual purpose indeed!
As the name suggests it is a balm stain and rightly it stains your lips. At least mine did. The balm aspect does not stay on the lips for long but the colour does. Colour payoff is really good, it does not wear off that easily and stays on your lips for a pretty long time. It has a slight menthol scent to it which stays for some time and wears off eventually; the texture of the balm is very hard but build-able. It is easy to apply and handy to carry too. As this is a balm stain, removing this is a bit of a hassle as it takes quite a lot of time and effort to get it off your lips.

If you are looking for a balm and a lipstick combo this is a good buy. Priced at Rs. 700/- may seem a bit steep for the quantity it provides. It does not have a twist-up mechanism; no sharpening required so; once the crayon conical tip reduces one has to take help of the trusty lipstick brush to apply the rest. A great product for lip balm stain lovers.
