The weather in Mumbai currently is yo-yo(ing) one moment it is hot; next moment it’s chilly (yes chilly cold for Mumbai standards). With this kind of unbalanced weather comes unexpected breakouts and Sahara desert type dry patches on the skin and body. Read on to know what products have helped me combat this situation.

I have been noticing that whenever the weather gets a bit colder my skin tends to act strange and decides to revolt by spotting my face with pimples. No amount of care and products calmed these nasty bulbous golf balls so; on a whim I purchased the Clean & Clear Pimple Clearing face wash and it has been an absolute saviour because this stuff really works… yes really. Using it twice a day daily has actually dried out my pimples, reduced inflammation and also faded my pimple spots. Its thick gel like consistency smells heavenly especially if you love lemon(y) citrus fragrance. Formulated with Neem and Lemon this product is oil free and does not clog pores. An absolute bargain for a drugstore face wash that actually does what it claims; comes in two sizes 40ml for INR  55/-  & 80ml for INR 99/-

Enough said about my absolute favourite Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF50+ One should never skip sunscreen; be it any weather. I’ve been using the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30 on my body; well I don’t exactly love this that much because I find it a tad greasy for my liking.

You gotta take care of your lips all season and Nivea Hydro Care SPF15 has worked wonders on mine… so goodbye desert dry lips and Hello pouty pouts.

As I mentioned that I tend to get dry patches on my face and body so to tackle my dry face Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion has been my buddy. This luxurious lotion provides intense moisturising for dry & extremely dry sensitive skin. It is fragrance free, non comedogenic & it says non greasy well if you are a bit on the oily-combination skin side it might be a bit greasy; so a very tiny amount is all you need for this to work its charm. The Body Shop Fiji Green Tea Body Lotion is what keeps my body hydrated and smelling heavenly throughout the day. Absorbs into the skin effortlessly; non-greasy and fuss free. Absolutely love this body lotion & I am already on my 4th   lotion bottle.

The obsession for Nivea shower gels is real and continues with the Nivea Crème Soft Cream shower which is a creamier moisturising version as opposed to the gel and refreshing versions of the Nivea shower range.  Love this product when the weather is cold; after using this shower cream and following it up with The Body Shop Fiji Green Tea Body Lotion is like double moisturising. This Shower cream is infused with moisturising Almond oil and has a mild scent which is Oh!  So good!

As the breakouts have been making quite an appearance lately; my pamper routine has a new addition in the form of Sephora Green Tea Mask. This sheet mask is enriched with natural green tea leaf extract that absorbs excess sebum and helps reduce the appearance of skin imperfections. It is a soothing anti-blemish mattifying mask that helps to calm my already inflamed skin.
