4 QUICK FIXES IF YOU HAVE SLEPT IN YOUR MAKE-UP

There are those days when after a good night out with friends we all tend to crash at someone’s place and at such times no one has the energy to take their makeup off. I’ve had a few week nights like this myself and I have found some products which work well for me to rejuvenate my skin the morning after. Since I have combination skin I always need products which are hydrating and which will keep my skin fresh.
Remove Makeup -
The first thing I do is remove my makeup using the Innisfree green tea cleansing water. I’m absolutely loving this at the moment. It’s a bit oily but it cleanses well and removes makeup and the dirt quite well. It does not sting or irritate my skin in any way.
For my eyes I’m currently using the Sephora Waterproof eye makeup remover. This is probably the best eye makeup remover I have ever used. It’s bi-phased and removes eye makeup in a single swipe which is simply amazing. This holds a very high position on my recommendation list.

Exfoliate -
I usually do not exfoliate my face that often but on tired and dull skin you do need to go an extra mile to remove every bit of makeup and dirt on your skin. I use my trusty Nivea 5 in 1 Total Face Cleanup. This has been my go to product for quite a while now and more than a face wash, I use it as a scrub. Massage it lightly for a few minutes and wash it off. At this point my skin already starts feeling soft and fresh.

Hydrating Face mask -
The best way to pump that moisture into your skin is to use hydrating face masks. I switch between a lot of masks and sheet masks work best to give that instant moisture kick into your skin. Currently I’m using the Sephora Avocado Mask. It contains Avocado Oil which works well for my parched skin. The sheet mask leaves an oily residue even after leaving it for a good 20 minutes. I massage the oil into my skin and then wash off the excess. The mask overall makes my skin feel very soft and plump and there is no specific fragrance for this sheet mask which I quite like.

Moisturize -
Last but not the least is to moisturize. I use the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer. The texture is a mix between cream and gel which is cooling on my skin. I prefer gel moisturizers over cream because they are quite light and soak into the skin quickly.

Well I hope this post has been helpful but do keep in mind that these products work for me and they might not work for you depending on your skin type. Do let me know in the comments below which products work for you if you have accidently slept with your make up on.
